ISO 9001 mock audit before your certification, surveillance, or customer audit.
Your team answers the hard questions once, to us.
We run your audit under the conditions the auditor will use, before the auditor arrives. Stage 1, Stage 2, surveillance, recertification, or a customer audit from a Tier-1 OEM or a defense prime. Findings closed before the real one.
An audit date is on the calendar. The questions are not in the binder.
01 · Stage 2 is booked
The system is built. Nobody has been audited on it.
The registrar's Stage 2 is in six weeks. Your process owners know their work and have never had a stranger ask them to prove it. The questions an auditor asks are not the questions in the procedure, and the first time to learn that should not be the day it counts.
02 · Surveillance or recertification
Last time you got three minors.
Year two of the cycle. The auditor will open with last year's findings and ask for evidence they were closed, then go looking for the same pattern elsewhere. A mock audit finds the pattern first.
03 · A customer is coming
Not ISO 9001, but the same system.
A Tier-1 OEM supplier quality audit or a defense prime's flowdown review. Customer-specific requirements on top of the quality system you already run, and an outcome that decides whether the work keeps coming.
How it runs
The real audit, one rehearsal early.
A mock audit is only useful if it feels like the real one. Same pace, same pressure, same records pulled without warning. We do not coach during the audit. We audit, we close, and then we coach against what we found.
Plan
Mirror the audit that is coming.
We take the audit type, the registrar, the certificate scope, the last report, and the customer's checklist if there is one, and build a plan that covers what that audit will cover. A surveillance mock audit weights the processes the registrar is due to sample. A customer mock audit weights the flowdowns.
On site
Opening meeting to closing meeting, under audit conditions.
The floor walk, the interviews, the records pulled at the pace and pressure of the real thing. Your team answers the hard questions once, to us, and finds out which answers hold. We close the same day with findings written the way the registrar writes them.
Same day
Findings and a closure plan sequenced to the date.
Every finding graded major, minor, or opportunity, tied to the clause and the evidence. The closure plan works backward from the real audit date: what closes this week, what needs a corrective action, what to say honestly if it will not close in time.
Before the real one
Closed with evidence, and a debrief for the people who will be asked.
We verify the closures and walk each process owner through what they were asked, what held, and what to have ready.
Customer audits
Customer audits run on the same system and ask for more.
A Tier-1 supplier quality audit or a defense prime's flowdown review sits on top of your ISO 9001 system and asks for more: customer-specific requirements, control of customer property under 8.5.3, traceability, special processes, records retention terms, and whatever their last audit of you left open. We audit against the customer's checklist when you have it. Your quality manager hosts the real one already knowing where it goes.
Flowdown review.Every customer requirement traced to where it lives in your system, and the ones that do not live anywhere yet.
Open items from their last visit.Closed with evidence, or ready to be explained honestly.
Hosting rehearsal.Who meets the auditor, who answers for which process, what is on the table before they ask.
What it costs
A flat project fee, quoted in writing.
The fee
One flat fee for the mock audit, the findings, the closure plan, and the debrief. Remediation of larger findings is scoped separately if you want us to run it.
What it is not
We do not talk to your registrar and we do not resell one. The mock audit is worth something precisely because the person running it has no stake in the certificate.
Questions
Before you book.
Do you talk to our registrar?
No. We prepare you for certification and never issue it. We are not a registrar and we do not resell one. Your registrar's independence is what makes the certificate worth having.
What if the mock audit shows we are not ready?
We tell you at the closing meeting, with the findings that say so and what it would take to change the answer. Sometimes that means moving the registrar date. Better to hear it from us.
Do you prepare for customer audits that are not ISO 9001?
Yes. Tier-1 OEM supplier quality audits and defense-prime flowdown reviews run on the same quality system with customer-specific requirements on top. We audit against the customer's checklist when you have it.
